Have you objected?
As many people will be aware, there is a proposal by a company called Harmony Energy to build a 99MW lithium-ion battery storage site on Heath. Many concerns have been raised on this issue including how close it is to local residents, the fire risk of lithium-ion batteries (Liverpool, 2020), the fact it would take up valuable arable and greenbelt land, the impact on the historic heritage of Heath with its 40 plus listed buildings, and concerns that the battery technology used will become obsolete within a decade.
Many local residents have been in touch with their local Labour representatives to express concerns with the proposed development on Heath. The Normanton Labour Team have formally objected to the proposal (as you can on the Council’s website here).
